1 Cheval que l'on fait courir habituellement sur la distance d'un mile, ou dont on obtient les meilleurs résultats dans des courses sur cette distance.
2 Coureur spécialisé dans les distances moyennes dont le mille anglais de 1 609 m est le type.
REM. L'Académie recommande l'orthographe mileur, pour éviter la prononciation [mijœʀ] de milleur.
